Volume Three
Prayers for the Pandemic, Prayers for Progress; Prayers for the Planet; Prayers for the Presidency
The third wave of artists from New Jersey and locations across the country have put out their prayers flags at their homes, apartment buildings and college campuses, in woods and public parks. While many are isolated, and travel is limited by coronavirus, these artists have found a way to reach out to their local community and also create an interconnected community with each other through the prayer flag project.

This third collection of the project includes community flag displays at ten Jersey City Libraries, and 70 feet of prayer flags at the Topps Building along Newark Ave, outside Drawing Rooms gallery.

Prayers for the Pandemic; Prayers for progress, Volume Two
Prayers for the Pandemic; Prayers for Progress
The second volume of our national prayer flag project is now online. This edition includes 32 individual artists and a group of 13.
Prayers for the Pandemic; Prayers for Progress is an ongoing local and national show of artists prayer flags that draws inspiration from Tibetan prayer flags used to bless the surrounding area. While we are all living through the coronavirus pandemic and the fight to create racial justice and equality, we feel we could all use blessings. We want to send good and positive Karma out into the world, and brighten each other’s days in the special way that art can do locally, nationally, and around the world.

Prayers for the Pandemic; Prayers for Progress is our ongoing public art project happening across the United States. The concept draws inspiration from Tibetan prayer flags made of colorful rectangular cloth that are strung along trails and peaks high in the Himalayas, and used to bless the surrounding area in which they are placed.
In this catalog, our second collection, we continue to receive images and stories from artists in the NY/NJ area, as well as across the country.

Prayers for the Pandemic, Volume OnePrayers for the Pandemic
We have collected the first group of 34 artists images and thoughts into a catalogue now available online and in-print. Volume One features flags flying from California to New York City to Florida– flags hanging on the sides of buildings, in the windows of suburban homes and storefronts, on a wooden country fence and a barbed wire ranch enclosure, in medical labs, strung between trees in parks, over city streets and everywhere that we are sheltering through this time.
