THE BIG SMALL SHOW, 12/15/17 - 2/17/18

We invite you to submit work for consideration in this year’s BIG SMALL SHOW, our 2017 year-end fundraiser exhibit. THE BIG SMALL SHOW is a review of works made in the past 2 years from area artists living in NJ, NY, PA and CT.

This is the fifth annual BIG SMALL SHOW at Drawing Rooms. Our biggest exhibit of the year will include close to 100 artists from the Metro Area in our gallery rooms. Our goal is to create a show with a large array of innovative and exceptional new paintings, framed drawings and 3-dimensional works to produce an exhibition that surveys recent art in our area.

• SUBMISSIONS DUE: 11/7/17
• EXHIBITION DATES: 12/15/17 - 2/17/18 (Holiday break 12/18/2016, 1/11/17)

CURATION:
The curator will choose a small group of each artist’s works and place them in context together in our multi-gallery room format to create visual, formal and conceptual connections, amplifying themes and deepening ways of understanding the works. There are many factors which influence final selections and ultimately not all submissions can be included. We hope all the artists submitting work understand this and continue to respond to future calls.

ACCEPTABLE WORKS:
Painting, framed works on paper, and 3-dimensional works (wall-mount or pedestal works) completed in the past 2 years in any media on any material will be considered. Dimensions limited to 30" or less. All works in the exhibit should be for sale. 60% to artist and 40% goes to support Drawing Rooms.

FEE:
NO FEE TO SUBMIT.
HANGING FEE: There is a $40 fee for accepted artists which includes the cost of a copy of Drawing Rooms 2017 Yearbook.
