Victory Hall Inc. Director James Pustorino works throughout the year with Shuster Development, to establish The Art Project in downtown Jersey City. Over fifty artists from Jersey City and beyond are currently exhibiting in the forty lobby areas in the four public and residential buildings that the company has built or renovated since 2014.
The goal of the project is to support and promote the artists in Jersey City's Powerhouse Arts District by selling their creations. All proceeds directly benefit the artist, and a meaningful portion goes back into the community for arts programming. The buildings are designed to provide viewing areas, lighting and wall space so that each floor acts as an art gallery dedicated to displaying the work of a specific artist. Tours of all lobby-gallery floors in the buildings are given during JC Friday evenings four times a year, and during the Jersey City Studio Tour weekend in October. |
