Nancy Karpf Artist Bio & Statement
Nancy Karpf was born in Summit, New Jersey, and raised in Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania. She began taking art classes after school when she was 10 years old. While in high school, Nancy also took classes at The Philadelphia College of Art and Parsons School of Design. She then studied at the University of Wisconsin, receiving a degree in Fine Arts where shecreated large-scale abstract paintings. Upon graduation, Nancy moved to San Francisco to pursue a career in advertising and furthered her studies at the San Francisco Art Institute. After meeting her husband, Len, Nancy developed a passion for travel. Together they have traveled to Europe, Southeast Asia, North Africa, and Central America. Many of her paintings are inspired by her experiences overseas.

Nancy’s work has been exhibited in New Jersey galleries including Art Alliance Gallery (Red Bank), Gallery 211(Red Bank), Grant Avenue Gallery(Deal), Center for the Visual Arts Gallery (Brookdale) Community College, Monmouth Museum (Lincroft), George Segal Gallery (Montclair State University), and Drawing Rooms (Jersey City).
