Community Crochet Public Art Meet-Up
April 7, 21 & 28

Jersey City Free Public Library: Five Corners Branch, 678 Newark Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306
Drawing Rooms and Canco Park Conservancy are sponsoring a crochet workshop project this Spring.
Artist Jill Scipione will direct a group art project at Five Corners Branch Library and Canco Park.
Start-up meeting at Five Corners Branch Library, 678 Newark Ave. JC.
Yarn and crochet hooks provided!
Join in- from beginner level to intermediate, adults and young adults are welcome to engage in work sessions with the artist, learn stitches and create a community public art project.   Please respond here so we can have supplies for everyone. See you there!

"At Drawing Rooms in Jersey City, Material Wonder: Jewish Joy and Mysticism in 2025 presents works that engage with Jewish identity, mysticism, and inherited traditions. Curated by Anne Trauben, the exhibition, on view from February 13 to April 5, 2025, features artists Carol Salmanson, Denise Treizman, Rachel Klinghoffer, Pesya Altman, and Trauben herself. Their works—encompassing drawing, painting, fiber, mixed media, and light-based sculpture—explore memory, ritual, and transformation."

ART STARS* Children's art Workshops with Kim Wiseman
Drawing Rooms is working with the Bethune Center of Jersey City at 140 Martin Luther King Drive, offering art classes for school age children (ages 4-10) every Monday beginning April 20th at 5- 6:30pm running throughout the year. Classes are free for students and space is limited.
