The Big Small Show 2023 FAQ
FAQ: PLEASE READ THESE FAQ BELOW FOR ANY QUESTIONS
  • Image Resolution
What resolution should my images be? Any resolution (pixels per inch) is fine. We only care about the overall dimensions (how many pixels height by pixels wide) This is called pixel dimensions on the Image Size function of Photoshop.
  • Image File Size
How large can my images be? There is no reason to send images much larger than 2,600 pixels in any dimension since that will allow us to print to over 8 inches. Please crop any background out of your images.
  • Insurance
All works are insured from the time they are in our possession. We are not responsible for shipping damage, and will notify you if your work arrives damaged. Please make sure your work is packaged well. We suggest adding a piece of cardboard in the envelope the same size as your work to help protect it.
  • Sales
Commissions from any sales will be paid to the artist within 30 days of our receiving the payment, via check, PayPal or cash depending on the situation.
  • What is a 3D work on paper?
3D work on paper suggests that the work has some dimension.
  • Is there a theme?
No, just send a set of works on paper and the curator will identify and create groups/connections of concepts.
  • When I go to upload images I am asked to sign in.
If you cannot sign in to the Google Drive link to upload, please go here to use the upload form option.
  • How does the Portfolio Project at Drawing Rooms work?
We will keep a portfolio book of at least 48 works on paper at a viewing table in our gallery that visitors can look through. Take home sales can be made at the gallery, and the works will be for sale in a collection on our Artsy.net pages. You will be notified as soon as a sale goes through and work will be transferred to the buyer. You will receive the 60% commission on sales price within 30 days.
