Due to our relocation, we are no longer offering the program described below but welcome interest and can discuss visit opportunities as we establish our new exhibition program this 2019 season.
Our current (2018) educational program at Drawing Rooms is focused on experiencing art and discussion/analysis, followed by creating art using the principles learned.
Our School Visit program is the fullest realization of this format. Visiting classes of up to thirty students at a time from K to 12 are able to tour our ten galleries in discussion with curator, director or artists, are given worksheets/drawing boards for individual explorations and then work on art projects of their own related to the discussion followed by analysis and critique.
Experiencing actual art, and interaction with curators and artists in the gallery room setting, is the focus of all we do at Drawing Rooms.
Victory Hall Inc has a long history of educational programs and projects. From 2001 through 2007 we ran after-school and weekend programming in arts and martial arts for over 250 children and adults weekly.
From 2007-2009 we produced the Saturday Art Lab program for children at the Jersey City Museum. From 2009 -2012 we engaged high school and middle school students in our public art projects.
