EXHIBITION ACTIVITIES at DRAWING ROOMS 926 Newark Ave. Jersey City NJ
• EXHIBITION DATES: 12/07/23 - 01/20/24 (Holiday break 12/18/2023-1/04/24)
• ARTIST RECEPTION: 12/08/23, 6-9p; 12/09/23 & 12/10/23, 2-6p
• MEET THE ARTISTS: 1/06/24, 01/13/24, 1/20/24 3-5p
HANGING FEE: There is a $40 fee for accepted artists which includes the cost of a copy of the catalog.
HANGING PREPARATION
  • ​Works can be pinned to the wall with T-pins, map pins or pushpins. Place pin holes in the works you want pinned or add tabs to the paper that we can pin.
  • Instead of pins, you may prefer using Command Strips, Scotch Restickable Mounting Squares or magnets (Please provide these with your work if this is your preference).
  • No Velcro.
  • Works without any of the above will be hung from clips.

  • DROP OFF and PICKUP of artworks can be done by you or someone on your behalf on these dates.

    Drawing Rooms (DR) Exhibition Agreement The Big Small Show 2023

    1. The Artist who is submitting artwork represents, warrants and guarantees that the Artist is the creator and sole owner of the artwork submitted and it is wholly original with the Artist and has not been copied in whole or in part from any other work. To the best of the Artist’s knowledge its presentation does not and will not violate, conflict with or infringe upon any rights of any nature whatsoever of any person, firm or corporation.
    2. DR honors and appreciates the value of the Artist’s work. We make every effort, and are committed to protecting and assuring its safety. DR will provide insurance to cover theft, loss or damage to artwork while the artwork is on display at the gallery.
    3. All artworks are to remain on display for the duration of the show.
    4. DR may choose not to include a work for any reason prior to the opening of the show. All work must be that which was presented during the planning of the exhibition. Substitutions are NOT allowed. Works will be checked at drop-off.

    5. The Artist is fully responsible for delivering the artwork to and removing it from the gallery by the drop-off and pick-up dates. DR and its representatives are not responsible for any loss or damage to artwork while in transit to and from the gallery. Artwork is to be picked up by scheduled pickup date.
    6. The following commission/payment terms will apply to each artwork sold from the exhibition: 60% payment to ARTIST, 40% to GALLERY.
    7. Artwork sold during the show must remain for the duration of the show. Payment to the ARTIST will be provided within 30 days after receipt of payment from Buyer to DR.
    8. All artwork and/or photographs submitted to DR may be used for promotional and support materials (catalogue, press materials, etc.). All artist’s statements, resumes and bios submitted may be included in their entirety or in edited form in the gallery support materials and press materials.


    Conditions of Artwork Consignment on Artsy-This does not guarantee all or any works will be posted on Artsy.net
    1. All artworks on Artsy are to remain available for sale there by DR for up to 6 months after the close of the DR exhibit.
    2. We are not requiring exclusivity for the works during this time. We understand your work may go into other shows and or be sold elsewhere. We only require commission on works we sell. 
    3. If one of these artworks sells elsewhere, Artist must let DR know within 3 days so we can mark it Sold on Artsy. 
    4. The following commission/payment terms will apply to each artwork sold on Artsy: 60% payment to Artist, 40% to DR               
    Sales and Shipping 
    1. DR will handle all Collector communication and negotiate sales.
    2. Artist is responsible for packing the work to ship.
    3. Artist will ship work within 7 days of confirmed sale.
    4. Cost of shipping and shipping insurance will be covered by Collector.
    5. Artist will provide shipping insurance for artwork as directed by DR.
    6. Payment to Artist will be provided within 30 days after receipt of payment from Collector.
    7. Artist agrees to discount up to 10% if Collector requests. Curator will get Artist approval on any further discount up to 20%.
