SUBMISSIONS CLOSED! The Big Small Show 2023
OPPORTUNITY: CALL FOR ENTRIES
DRAWING ROOMS THE BIG SMALL SHOW, 12/07/23 - 1/20/24 DEADLINE EXTENDED! 11/10/23 We invite you to submit work for consideration in this year’s The Big Small Show, our 2023 year-end fundraiser exhibit. The Big Small Show will be a review of works on paper made in the past 2 years from artists in our area as well as across the country and internationally.
Now in its eighth year (darn that pandemic!), at Drawing Rooms, The Big Small Show will include multiple pieces by each artist in our expanded gallery space which includes The Terrarium Gallery, The Alcove Gallery and Gallery One at Drawing Rooms. Our goal is to gather together a large array of innovative and exceptional new works on paper to produce an exciting survey show. As part of the exhibit, one image and bio/statement from each artist will be included in our catalog, available to view online and for sale on Amazon and at Drawing Rooms. The exhibition will be featured on our Artsy.net pages, and shared on our website, email newsletter and social media platforms. A Curator’s Statement and reviewer essay will be produced for promotions and press releases. PORTFOLIO PROJECT AT DRAWING ROOMS In addition to works chosen for this exhibition, 48 works from the show will be chosen to be part of the Portfolio Project at Drawing Rooms, a 6-month exhibition, where the works can be seen in our portfolio flat file. While we are accepting works up to 30-in for The Big Small Show exhibition, if you would like your work to be considered for the Portfolio Project at Drawing Rooms, the work must be 14 x 17-in, in either landscape or portrait formats, and fit into a portfolio sleeve.
